Snow Day

We took advantage of the huge snow storm that blew through Denver this week by doing some serious sledding at the park. I think it was the first time that my kids have went sledding. (Usually we just pull them around the yard.) This time I showed them how to sled on hills. They didn't know what to do at first. I had to demonstrate a few times, which isn't easy when you are 7 months pregnant, but I managed to make it to the bottom without crashing. We laughed a lot, and sometimes cried (Reece landing face first in snow). Maybe we'll go again today, that is if the snow isn't all melted.

Visit with Cousins

My sister, Candice, and her three adorable girls visited Colorado for week. Poor Dallin was the only boy in the house, but I think that he still had a great time. One of the highlights of the week was a Cheetah Girl Camp Out (dressing up fancy and pretending to go camping.) There was plenty of fancy dresses, jewels, and lip gloss. We went to the park a couple of times and went swimming at the Rec Center.

We even got the kids to pose in their matching Easter clothes for a few seconds (and I truly mean seconds.)
They did enjoy spinning in their new dresses!
The week ended with making Pinkalicious cupcakes the night before they had to leave.
It was sad to see them go. Hopefully we'll be able to visit them in their new house once our baby is born.

South Dakota

Mount Rushmore

Pierre, SD

Capitol Lake

State Capitol Building

We visited South Dakota last weekend. It was great weather, and we had a lot of fun site seeing. First we visited the capitol Pierre. We met a lot of nice people there. It seems like a great little town. On the way home we stopped by Mount Rushmore. It was fun to see again, and the kids seemed to think it was cool. Overall it was a great road trip. It was a nice little vacation for our family.

Dallin's Missing Tooth

Dallin lost his third tooth last Sunday. The tooth fairy brought him 86 cents!!

Warm Weather

Reece and Josie are wearing the new "Jogging" outfits that Grandma and Grandpa sent in the mail.

Now let's talk about the weather. We have been enjoying many sunny days lately. It almost seems like Spring until the wind comes along. Then we can hardly stand to be outside. We have been trying to take advantage of the less windy moments by playing outside. We went to the park on Saturday. It was fun, but got a little cold. We should have brought our jackets.

It's a Boy!!!

We also found out in January that we are having a new baby boy!!!! Hurray!! We are all so excited!!

More January

We also went ice fishing in January. I friends, the Bells, invited us to go along with them. I only have a few pictures of the day, because my camera battery went dead almost as soon as we got there. We didn't catch any fish, but we had a lot of fun!! The weather was beautiful and sunny. I could have stayed all day. I LOVE to be in the mountains!

We went to Evergreen Lake, and there was a whole section of the lake blocked off for ice skating. We are definitely going back next year when I'm not so pregnant. I don't trust my balance very much these days. They had a place to rent skates and helmets, and some people even had there strollers out on the ice. Very fun!!
Lucky for us that the weather was so warm, because Reece managed to fall into our ice fishing hole and soak her shirt in hot chocolate. She insisted on not wearing a shirt for the rest of the trip, but did have her coat on. Her boots didn't get wet inside either, so overall I think that she was still pretty warm.
