Dallin's Wisdom

Last Sunday in primary when learned about being grateful, and giving thanks to Heavenly Father for everything that we have. We just put out our Christmas decorations, and Dallin went over and picked up a little wooden baby Jesus in the manger. I heard him quietly say, "Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for Jesus. Amen." I asked him, "Dallin what did you just say?" and he repeated himself, then added, "My teacher told me you can pray whenever you want." It was so humbling. What a great example he is to me.

A Word From Josie

Birthday Girl

Yesterday was Reece's first birthday. We learned something knew about her. She doesn't like cake. (I wish that I didn't like it so much!) We tried and tried to get her to dig into her birthday cake, but she refused. She is such a funny girl. Her brother and sister helped her open all of her presents, and she shared all of her new toys with them. Josie even wanted to wear a pair the new jammies that Grandma Joan got for her. They were a little too small. It was a very fun day!

More Dallin

It's so nice without the kids here.

I just had one of the best days ever. Today Dallin and I spent the afternoon together, just the two of us. He said so many cute things. I was just smiling the whole time. For birthdays, I always take the kids to get our picture taken in the photo booth and their birthday picture at Kiddie Kandids. We didn't get a chance to do Dallin's on his birthday, so we went today. I tried to hold his hand at the store and he said, "You don't need to hold my hand." I asked if he was too embarassed and he said, "Come on mom, do you really think that I will try to get away." I guess when you are "5" you are too old to hold your mom's hand. He was so cute and smiled for every picture. After he wanted to go to Chic fil A for dinner. While eating our chicken nuggets he said, "So, how do you think the pictures went?" It was like I was having dinner with a tiny little adult. Then he said, "It's so nice without the kids here" (meaning little sisters.) I love that boy. We totally enjoyed spending time together. I hope its always this way.

Halloween

The kids looked so cute dressed in their Halloween costumes this year. Dallin was a Transformer, Josie was a ballerina, and Reece was a cheerleader. We took some fun pictures in leaves at Grandpa Reading's house. The kids got so much candy from the Trunk or Treat. We have a huge bowl full on top of the fridge (out of reach of the kids, but unfortunately not moms.)

October

October was full of so many fun things, but I didn't get a chance to post any of them. Slowly I will add them to my blog. The first one that I will start with is my wonderful anniversary trip. We went to Idaho and we had so much fun. It was like a second honeymoon. It was so nice to spend alone time together. We toured Twin Falls and Boise, went to a Murder Mystery Dinner (very fun), and stayed in the Anniversary Inn. I love Jerry so much!

My Wonderful Mom

I just had to post this picture of my mom and me. I think it is adorable. This picture was taken at my cousin's wedding.

Family Home Evening

We just had a great family home evening. The kids made cute little turkeys. It was so fun watching the kids play together. They have such a great time. It reminds me of the fun times that I had with my own cousins when I was a kid.
We were able to see Grandma and Grandpa Moody one last time before they head off to Africa. We love them so much. We will really miss them!
