My $30 Make-Over

I am now 20 weeks pregnant!!! Yeah!!! Half-way to baby time!!

I went to the gym yesterday, and while I was there, I decided I desperately need some maternity clothes. So, I drove to Target and set myself a $20 limit for clothes. I figured Target would be the only place that I might find something so cheap. I also had decided that I really needed to get rid of my roots. Here is what I found:

Shirt - $3 (not even a maternity shirt, but I LOVE the way it fits)

Pants - $7 (too big, now, but they work, and maybe they will fit better in a month or so)

Shoes - $10 (can also be used for church)

Hair Dye - $10 (supposed to be golden brown, but ended up a darker brownish-red. At least I didn't turn it florescent green again!!!)

This picture doesn't really show the outfit too much, because everything kind of blends in, but you get the general idea. I was extremely happy with my $30 make-over. Thank you Target!!!!

New Year's Eve at the Zoo

We had a family fun New Year's Eve that included the Denver Zoo, Applebees, and the Incredible Hulk!! It was fun to have a family day (after Jerry was done working). We didn't quite make it to midnight, but we shouted "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!" out our front door at 11pm. Close enough, right?

How far can Dallin jump?

How far can Josie jump?

How far can Reece jump?

Christmas in Utah

We traveled to Utah for Christmas this year. It was so much fun. We attended a few parties, visited with friends and realitives, but mostly hung out at Grandma and Grandpa's house due to the stormy weather. We took a lot of fun pictures of gingerbread houses, playing in the snow, and Dallin's Christmas play at school, but I accidently erased all those pics from my camera. Oooops!! These are some cute ones that I didn't erase.

A Visit From Santa

We were visited by Santa at our ward Christmas party on Saturday. The kids were so excited. First the Grinch came out and a lot of little ones were screaming their heads off. Reece was a little scared, and she didn't want to leave my lap. I was wondering how she would do with Santa, but she just climbed right up on his lap without my help. She didn't smile or talk, but she sat there very quietly while he talked with her.

Josie was so excited to wear her new Christmas skirt for the first time. Too bad you can't even see it in the picture. We went shopping on Saturday, just the two of us, to find shirts, shoes, and new pants for me. (I no longer fit into my regular pants very well.) Josie really was born to shop!! Since we were already at the outlets, we went to Bath and Body Works to use a gift certificate that I got for my birthday. Josie was in heaven in that store!! She loved all the lip gloss, and smelly lotion. She wanted to buy just about everything that she saw. I finally ended up spending my gift certificate on her. It is really hard for me to say no to her sometimes. I told her she would have to share with Dallin and Reece, but I really knew that never happen. Oh, well. She looked so cute carrying her tiny bag around the outlet mall.

I asked Dallin what he told Santa that he wanted for Christmas. He said that he didn't tell him anything, because Santa didn't ask. He said that Santa probably already has his present. I think that he is right!!

Wrestling

Dallin competed in his first wrestling tournament today in Fort Collins. It was really fun watching all the little kids wrestling. Most of them are really good. They were decked out in their wrestling singlets and special shoes. Dallin did a great job, especially considering that he has only wrestled in our living room and outside in the front yard before. He fought really hard and never gave up. He won one match and lost two, but the two that he lost, he fought to the end and was never pinned. He only lost in points, which I think is really great!! He are a few highlights from his best match.

Reece's Birthday

Yesterday Reece finally turned two!! We were all so excited for her birthday. We have been trying to teach her how to hold up two fingers. It took a lot of concentration to get it just right, but she finally got it!!
