JoAnns

Dallin is so funny. The other day we were driving past JoAnns (the fabric store) and Dallin got worried that we were going to stop. He was relieved when I told him that we were going to ShopKo instead. After a minute he said, "Mom, I feel really bad for thinking this, but JoAnns is really boring." He seemed like he really felt bad about saying this to me. I just laughed and thought about when I was a kid. I can remember saying a number of times, "When I get older, I will never make my kids go to the fabric store."

Elephant Parade

The circus was in town and we went to an elephant parade at Gateway today. Jerry met the kids and me at the Trax station on his extended lunch break. Our friends Julie, Caleb and Taylor went with us too. It was a fun adventure, but the parade only lasted about 2 minutes. It was shorter than I was expecting, but I think that the kids thought the elephants and clowns were cool.
